Veedersburg - Effie S. Harper, 97, died at 11:20 p.m. Monday in Covington Car Center at Covington where she had been a resident the past 5 years. A former Veedersburg resident, she was a member of Sterling Christian Church. Mrs. Harper was born Jan 15, 1886, at Marshall, a daughter of David and Mary Kirkham Morgan. She married ALvert (sic) Harper on Sept 6 1902 at Veedersburg. He preceded her in death Feb 21, 1958. Survivors include two sons, Gordon of New Market and Ross of Veedersburg; 7 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 24 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Parham Funeral Home at Veedersburg with Rev. Richard Throckmorton officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and after 7 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz

  Effie S. Harper, 97, of Veedersburg, died Monday in Covington Care Nursing Home. She had been a resident there for the past five years. She was a former Veedersburg resident and a member of the Sterling Christian Church.

  Mrs. Harper was born January 15, 1886, at Marshall, the daughter of David and Mary Kirkham Morgan. She married Alvert Harper on September 6, 1902, at Veedersburg. He preceded her in death February 21, 1958.

  Survivors include two sons, Gordon of New Market and Ross of Veedersburg; seven grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 24 great great grandchildren..

  She was preceded in death by two sons.

  Services were this morning (Thursday) in Parham Funeral Home at Veedersburg with the Rev. Richard Throckmorton officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – thanks to S
